Members at St. Andrew’s understand that the church is called to be a caring community, caring for those in the body and in the world around it. Therefore, we promote a sense of no walls, where all are seen as equally valuable; where needs for shelter, food, care, work, and learning are met.

The doors at St. Andrew’s are always unlocked. Blankets and pillows are found inside the front door, so all may have a warm place to sleep.

Each year a Community Thanksgiving meal is offered for anyone who wishes to join us. This ministry is shared with two other congregations.

For years, St. Andrew’s has offered a Wednesday School program for elementary age children. All are welcome.

St. Andrew’s has entered into a new relationship with two schools and a church in Tanzania. We sponsor several students and raise funds and awareness to assist with education and worship. Members from St. Andrew’s have visited there as have one student and one priest visited St. Andrew’s. A link to a blog telling more about this ministry is here:

A Priest’s Discretionary Fund is used to assist people with unmet emergency needs. The funds pay for gas, food, shelter, and other assorted requests from both transients and community members.
